I thrive in team settings but also enjoy tackling projects independently, applying my attention to detail and integrating my creative edge. Having worked since I was 15 in a variety of different positions and raised by true entrepreneurs, I am able to work with people from every walk of life and love discussing differing viewpoints and dreaming up new ideas.

Visit Lewis Clark Valley

COMMUNICATION SPECIALIST (INTERN)

As an intern for Visit Lewis Clark Valley, I was responsible for assisting with public relations communication. I run the official Visit Lewis Clark Valley social media which includes Facebook, Instagram and Twitter. I was also responsible for the creation of our monthly newsletter and blog, including copy and graphics. A large part of my position revolved around coming up with innovative ways to gain a following to attract new visitors to the Lewis Clark Valley -- This includes identifying and contacting influencers, hosting giveaways and helping to host travel writers who came to the area.

COLLEGE INTERNSHIP PROGRAM MANAGER

Finding myself with too much to do and too little time, I created an internship program in conjunction with Washington State University's Murrow College of Communication. Through coordinating with the university, I was able to provide six students internships that were recognized as university credit. One intern was even awarded a scholarship through the university for what she demonstrated she learned through her internship with Local Hens.

2018 National Direct Agricultural Marketing Summit Representative

In September 2018, Local Hens sent me to Washington DC to attend The National Direct Agricultural Marketing Summit to represent Local Hens and identify and build relationships with potential key stakeholders in the industry. I met with farmers, lobbyist, other entrepreneurs in the farm-to-table industry as well as members from The National Farmers Market Collation. 

Natural products EXPO WEST REPRESENTATIVE

In February 2019 I went to Expo West in Anaheim, CA through the invitation of a customer of Swanson Packaging, Nest Fresh. Nest Fresh had recently hired a new National Marketing Director and they primarily invited me to this event so I could help provide guidance to their new National Marketing Director. While there, I also had the opportunity to network and continue to foster relationships with our customers such as Organic Valley and Vital Farms.

BATEMAN COMPETITION TEAM

In college, I was on the WSU PRSSA Bateman Competition team. The Bateman Case Study Competition is PRSSA’s premier national case study competition for public relations students and gives an opportunity to apply classroom education and internship experiences to create and implement a full public relations campaign for our real, client With Purpose.
